Paul & Susanna Gionet
Paul and Susanne are longtime Alaskans with a heart for the Russian people. Susanna’s grandparents emigrated from Russia in 1906 and the bond has never been broken with her family’s love for the Lord. Her and Paul started REM Alaska through the adoption of their 5 Russian daughters from the Russian orphanages along with their other 3 children. 15 years and 40 trips later, REM Alaska serves to give students opportunities to tour cities in Russia and appreciate the goodness that we have and to explore other cultures and input into those experiences. Please remember Paul and Susanna as they tour and travel to their many Russian friends that they have meet along this glorious way. |
Matt & Angie Peterkin
Faithful missionaries to Far-East Russia. Matt helped foster deep relationships with the original bible school students during the early 2000’s. He and his wife Angie continue to encourage these families as they expand the outreach across the Kamchatka Peninsula. Angie, being Alaskan Native has crossed traditional barriers with ministering to the Koryak people group and inspires them with song and the Love of God. They, their 3 children and 4 grandchildren live in Anchorage. They host many fellow missionaries as their lives allow while taking occasional trips back to Kamchatka |
Kevin & Jennifer Moos
Kevin and Jennifer have been REM members since 1999 when Kevin was co-leading our first orphan camp in Kamchatka. Since then, Kevin has made quite a few trips into Far-East Russia and spread God’s Word. Both Jennifer and Kevin spent a school year in Saint Petersburg with their family while teaching English and supporting the local believers. Their desire remains with the Russian people and they are a huge asset to REM. |
John & Jamie Ferguson
John and Jamie have been solid supporters for REM for many years especially in the role of leading student groups in exchange to Far-East Russia. Both John and Jamie have trained multitudes of Alaskan students in the Russian culture and how to express our faith in God to others. They have two adult children who love the Lord and traveled many times to Russia. Their daughter Arianna has also co-leaded student trips and is married to our Russian pastor’s son Mark Kalashnikov. Together they continue to help with REM. Expect to see the Fergusons real soon on an upcoming NEW REM 2020 trip being developed. |
